"Les Roches Fluides", 2024, is a series and photographic installation. The series counts about thirty photography from 6X6 negatives, self-portraits set in an open air natural sites, quarries, construction sites and photographic documentation of those places in transformation. The photographs are printed paper and textile and some parts are mounted on a soft cards and hard wooden blocs.
The installation offers a life-size photography playground where visitors are invited to vary photographic forms ad infinitum and challenge photography and human body limits.
The works thematize notions of materiality, work, time, landscape and body in transformation and blurs the boundaries between image, sculpture and choreography.
The experience of moving through countries and landscapes has shaped not only my artistic practice but also the medium it is seen through. I use photography less as fixed prints, but more as an act and place of the multiple experiences visual and physical.
My works often take form of photographic installations that can activated by viewer or artist during performances. Single photographs each have their own autonomy as prints, and question notions of palimpsest identities, evolutive landscapes and time through the malleability of the used medium.
In the installations I strive to achieve that the works exist beyond the visible: each activation, folding, unfolding, covering and manipulation produces a new experience of visual and narrative interpolation between the body of image and a humain body and finds it’s extension for the viewer.
My photographic pieces play with scale and modulations, as well as the relations between front and back and between bodies in space.
