A microcosm suspended in time and space, where the boundary between past and present is fragile, not always fluid: this is my Sicily. Faces that unveil entire worlds, landscapes caught in a delicate balance between time and stillness.
The concept of ‘islands within the island’ emerges as a symbolic reflection of the Sicilian community: each individual is an island unto themselves, bearing their own identity and story, yet intrinsically part of a shared reality – a Sicily that resists and transforms, forever anchored to its memory.
It is a dialogue between humanity and the environment, between the individual and the community, revealing Sicily as, at its essence, a harmony of differences suspended in time.
