This body of work, which came into being as a consequence of working on “The Untitled Album”, is a part of an ongoing project that examines the interaction between culture and nature and the tension between these two spheres that exists as a conflict or as an ongoing struggle.
The reality itself is a point of departure for capturing poetic daily footnotes. I tend to focus my camera lens on every day and familiar connections, of the kind that has become an integral part of modern life and leisure culture, often concentrating on manifestations that can seem almost alienated at first glance.
My interest is in minor situations and for the most part there are no big events or dramatic moments; An ice cream cup cover with printed clouds left lying on the ground, A cow statue by the side of a road, an electric wooden pole embraced by plastic pipes and wires;a felled tree whose severed branches seem to refuse to part; these diverse scenes attend themselves as a silent proof for wider situations, while objects reveal clues about their culture environment.
