Corpora Vivi is a work created during the author' s stay in Atena Lucana, in the context of the Archivio Atena project for the development and the analysis of the territory of the Parco del Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni.
An image in the flesh. A god inside the image. In which sense then can images have the effectiveness attributed to them? That's the question the author asks herself in her research. The project initially follows the miracle attributed to Saint Ciro, focusing on the specific moment in which wheat, placed in a stoppello, was exchanged with an image of the saint, pronouncing the words "May Saint Ciro make it to you". The research inquires into the power of the image and the possibilities in which the viewer perceives such images using the medium of photographic experimentation. The photos mix in a contamination between folk and christian iconography, in a process in which the photos obtained by the author through the photographic medium are flanked by pre-existing images she collected during her stay.
