Flowing along the Po’ river, across the province of Mantua, fluidofiume looks at multidimensional, stratified landscape via its irrigation system, its canals, its rivers, and lastly, the Po’ itself. As water adapts itself to its container, this shapeless story has no end and no beginning. Often hidden, sometimes visible, but never absent, only pieces of this territory can be momentarily captured, just a moment before losing them again in the current. A much bigger text is being written, continuously, through different historical, geological, social languages; our only chance is to capture its rare, small epiphanies, where it materializes, just for the briefest of moments.
This landscape is made of signs and lifes, stacked one upon the other, in the making of a palimpsest always ready to add another layer, another time on itself. No hierarchies, nor centers can be found here, only the gentle yet firm presence of water and its flow.
