90% of international trade is transported across water. As the shipping industry has become more and more important in our daily lives, it has paradoxically also disappeared from our view. In an invisible landscape where mountains and raw materials are being transported across oceans, reshaping the surface of our earth, the men working here are marginalized as is often the case with infrastructures supporting our way of life. This project is an attempt to deal with subject matter such as global trade and its ramnifications using photographs and text. This portfolio is an extract from a book “I went looking for a ship”.
