"You are not alone" is a project that aims to show how deep connection and respect for nature are key concepts for a part of the human race that has decided to live its life on the fringes of civilization.
The project focuses on showing how hippie communities and lone travelers live in perfect balance with nature, respecting its different cycles and living enough thanks to what nature has to offer them.
The entire photographic project was carried out over two months, during a journey I embarked on in southern Spain, traveling the length and breadth of the south coast, from Catalunya to Andalusia.
Traveling the entire south coast, I went in search of independent communities or lone travelers who had stories to tell and who could show me how it was possible to have a lifestyle almost or totally detached from modern society and capitalism.
Some communities today reject the use of money, finalizing exchanges through barter mechanisms. They live in huts built with makeshift means, assembling pieces of sheet metal, wood or any other useful material to be able to afford a roof, which with attachment and emotion they call home.
They create extraordinary works of art using what Mother Nature offers them with a view to recycling materials and sustainability, drawing inspiration from the nature that surrounds them and sending messages of peace and serene coexistence.
These communities respect nature, venerate it and thank it every day for giving it the sources of sustenance they need to live. They respect cycles.
There are stories behind the portraits, behind the landscapes and objects photographed during the journey.
