The Valley of the Mills
Since ancient times, the Valle dei Mulini di Gragnano has been known for the beauty and abundance of its waters. The valley has had great strategic importance over the centuries, here large quantities of flour were ground for the ovens of the city of Naples. In the valley there were the first attempts to manufacture pasta. Durum wheat semolina and spring water are in fact still today the only elements used in the manufacture of pasta. I tried to tell a small strip of territory that contains the history and tradition of a people but undervalued and unfortunately neglected. An example of how much the maintenance of a vital state of the territory is fundamental for a correct union between man and the environment in order to pass on traditions and knowledge.
