The anthropocene (etym. humanity’s era) stands for the current geological period, embodied by the consequences of human activity on the earth, and whose industrial revolution is the trigger.
On the edge of documentary and fiction, this series deals with correlated topics of industrial architecture and the impact of our contemporary lifestyle on the environment.
The scenes suggest an alternative reality in which emerges a strange graphical beauty torn out from inherently austere places.
By inviting to the paradoxical contemplation of these trivialized places in the collective unconscious, this series leads us to question ourselves before the collective denial in which we find ourselves as a civilization.
The anthropocene’s aesthethics would be the « beautiful », subjective and striking, in what I hope will be the remains of tomorrow.
