"Power Supply Facilities Along The Kelmore River by Raymond Delaney" is an imaginary project, ideally conceived in 1975 by a fictional author, contemporary and closely aligned with the protagonists of the New Topographics. The work explores water management and energy production structures along the Kelmore River, an ideal watercourse that flows through territories that are simultaneously real and fictional in the United States, from the mountains of Washington to the plains and cities of California.
Designed to appear credible, the project combines landscapes, counties, mountains, and invented facilities, creating a continuous dialogue between realism and fantasy. The imaginary Raymond Delaney, like his real contemporaries, reflects on the relationship between humans and their environment, maintaining the sobriety and analytical approach typical of the New Topographics, to which the work pays passionate homage.
Although realized through Artificial Intelligence, the project is intended as a tool for visual and conceptual exploration, celebrating the genre and the contemporary possibilities of digital creation.
