After the earthquake attacked north-east part of Japan in March 11th 2011, Fukushima nuclear power plant got devastated by Tsunami, causing spreading radiation into Fukushima Prefecture. Now, most of part of radioactive substances there are cleared away and they are allowed to live in. But in some parts, like where the clearance of radioactive substances have got to be delayed, you still can see the trace of the earthquake remaining because, in such areas, the reconstruction gets to be delayed as well. There are some area where considerable number of ex-residents hope to restart their life and they are set as ≪the specified reconstruction and revitalization base≫ inside of ≪Difficult to return area≫. There, it's prioritized to be cleared away radioactive substance and to reconstruct infrastructures. Since June 12th 2022, ≪the specified reconstruction and revitalization base≫ are released one after another to residents to live in, which started from Katsurao and then it continued, Okuma, Futaba, Namie, Tomioka, and in the end, Idate. On the news, I saw the scene of re-start-ceremony and interviews with returned residents from evacuation in other areas saying; It's long-awaited moment thought there are still bunch of problems. I had nothing to with Fukushima, but Since that time, I came to think that I should get to know the real situation in Fukushima. The way to know the reality in Fukushima I chose was to walk around the freed areas from radioactive contamination just by my foot, without any traffic transportations. Sometimes I walked more than 15 hours a day to reach and look around the whole area. By spending 2 years, I looked around all of ≪the specified reconstruction and revitalization base≫ noted above. In that term I also visited Fukushima 1st nuclear power plant and saw what was going on now after more than 10 years ago earthquake. From this experience, I realised that we are always confronting something beyond our understanding : what we call "the nature" and also an enormous existence : "Science". Without doubt we are co-living with them on the earth. They sometimes help our daily living and sometimes set us in Zero point without any pre-caution.
