I discovered this abandoned zoo at the end of my first relationship. That coincidence changed
the way I looked at things: collapsed walls, broken glass, displaices and uprooted objects. Yet I
kept returning to the place, again and again. I felt at ease there. We were both in ruins.
Spending time within those walls allowed me to see how nature always finds a way to break
through, to be reborn. Trees were growing inside the cages, twisting and pushing against the
bars, fighting to carry on with life, whatever the conditions. Nature needs time to heal,
and so do we.
