[DIS]LOCATI LIVING (AND SURVIVING) NEAR THE RIVER BANKS
In his explorations along the Po river, Gianni Celati tells us about "a laborious exploration of the banks of the River, with encounters that may seem unlikely". Forty years after those words we have retraced the banks of the Po valley in search of new encounters. Our observations, ordinary, slow, pushed us towards visual discoveries that become a document and testimony of a process that began well before Celati traveled these lands. As silent witnesses, we could only record this umpteenth strip of emptied Italy, the forgotten margin of what Eugenio Turri defined, only fifteen years after Celati, “Megalopoli Padana”.
