AVALANCHE is an ongoing set of photographic reconsiderations of an neglected childhood from my perspective as an adult living in my childhood home. To reconsider my childhood I use both found compositions and objects, alongside staged interventions and portraits. Both modes of image-making I employ speak to the therapeutic process representing accidental triggers and active attempts to confront oneself and their surroundings. I photograph inside my home and the surrounding town, because of the overwhelming supply of memories available to me. By sharing my specific vision of my experience, I hope that others can gain something - this kind of childhood is not uncommon.
