Archivio Antropologico is a long-term project, perhaps a lifetime.
The project accompanies the artist in the intimately universal discovery of herself and the landscape that surrounds her.
The scientific approach marks the sentimental investigation: walking becomes a cognitive practice, photography immortalizes, the hands collect what affects sight, smell and taste. Through a meticulous and maniacal process of cataloging the landscape, the project is a search for ancestral and common origins to rediscover part of one’s land and weave a lost bond on which to found a future of coexistence.
Archivio Antropologico is the memory of every day in which awareness has become a careful practice discovering, through it, the way to coexist and be present in the world. Exploring territories for pure geological attraction, the artist traces the stories, myths and legends that have accompanied their life in the morphology of the places. The work includes the languages of photography, writing, the practice of walking and the collection and storage of stones, clods of earth, wood. Photography becomes archival and investigates the landscapes of psychogeology and the sedimentations of the mind.
The walking methodology is an exercise in wonder: step by step you abandon knowledge, time fast and inadequate for happiness, you forget what a tree is, what a sea or a house is; but only to rediscover it, with amazement.
In this way the artist recognizes the stories of the world in the geological processes, and rediscovers herself as stone.
