As a Californian living in Norway, my trips home through the years often take me over the Arctic regions. Sometimes connecting flights will also treat me to new and unexpected landscapes. The trip is long, and the earth seems pretty barren. Curiosity and boredom led me to this series consisting of the only subjects available to me; weather formations and the regions below. With a bit of research I learned more about what I had seen. From hurricane forming clouds in the mid Atlantic to the darker new ice forming each year around Greenland, these are all evidences of the changing realities around us. Watching the landscape change rapidly below me, my mind often wanders to how strong, and how fragile, the planet is.
