I am thrilled and yet my mind trembles with fear at seeing what has not been seen before. - The Bhagavad-Gita
This work is part of a larger project titled “Inner Vision,” made over several periods of travel. With this series, I am examining the role nature plays in satisfying our desire for beauty and control while also realizing our fear of uncertainty through the chaos.
I’m interested in providing an unfettered, democratic view of the landscape that
equalizes the natural with the artificial. This hybrid view of nature reflects a time when our biological evolution as a species is in threat of being outdated by our actions as a global community. With this work, I want to bring forth the same mix of anxiety, enthusiasm, and dreamlike wonder that we feel while our society is constantly on the cusp of change.
