The 'feel me heal me' series investigates the connection between mind and body. The link between time and space through our body, through ourselves and the connection with our environment. Motivated by a personal search to find more peace and the need for introspection, this series consists of images that show a desire to take care of yourself. The desire to grow and be stronger in life. Was I lost? Was I scared and insecure? There is a quote “we are all victims of our own thoughts”. Sometimes we are so far from ourselves and what we feel. How can we deal with that? The focus on your body and paying attention to our thoughts can change a lot. Breathe and let go.
In playing with different layers, different exposures and cut-outs, I try to depict the link between our emotional side and the physical body. Photography as a catharsis in dealing with the deepest fears and desires. The need for more silence or losing yourself. Immersing yourself in something to forget the day-to-day worries, is the motive in this work
