«One must still have chaos in oneself to be able to give birth to a dancing star» is one of the famous sentence of Friedrich Nietzsche. For the ancient Greeks « Chaos » (Kháos) was "the gaping void above the Earth created when Earth and Sky are separated from their primordial unity ». Chaos was the first thing to exist before anything. Everything comes from is a primal force. Nowadays the word chaos is almost synonymous with disorder, violence and things out of control. In our world of order and imposition, the chaos has a negative connotation. But since the beginning Chaos has always been the source of all possibilities. Chaos is not negative nor positive. Chaos is what could be and what have been. From the despicable to the sublime, all is one in chaos. These pictures are an ode to the magnificent power of the Chaos, and the beauty of what is dying. «The cosmic pictures » are rayograms made with soap bubbles mixed with some other pictures shot in neglected churches. The idea was to question the limits of photography itself and showing the presence of chaos in ordinary life all around us.
