These stories, these fragments, these moments by their vibrating reality can allow a free interpretation by the spectator who in front of his images feels emotions. Something emotional is happening. This vibrating reality of these moments of life allow the identification and set up a story specific to each one and therefore through the emotions felt a mental state, an atmosphere, a mental place and an experience that is created. This impression of being in a film therefore makes sense. The physical quality of the Book, whose words are replaced by images, allows the story to be told as much as in a novel or a movie. Walker Evans said that the camera is a typewriter and that we read pictures. We are certainly without sounds and words to guide us, but the visual can create emotions, and it is these emotions that emanate from us artists, photographers in the production of these emotionally charged moments of life that we take or suggest a path to the viewer. There will be an experience that results from this confrontation.
These moments of life, these fragments, these archives, are impregnated with stories and therefore with History. History whose matter is in perpetual movement, nothing is eternal, and is present at a certain moment in a given period. What was certain become uncertain, what was uncertain become all the more alarming.
«It has often been written that photography always shows what you already know. However, in my opinion, this assertion must be correc- ted in the following way: photography always shows what we think we already
know».
