For many years we have been seeing a mass migration from the rural areas of our country to the big cities, an exodus that still seems to have no end.
Small villages are a world apart, a world, that from the outside they might seem wonderful; small communities in which everyone knows each other, where all are friends and live in serenity. However the truth is that the elderly people have been left behind and have been forgotten in these small villages.
This serenity does not allow you to move forward, it blocks you and so young people leave the small villages in search of fortune and new opportunities in the big cities and the only ones remaining are the elderly people, who in fact, become the living representation of a village that is dying.
They are the forgotten people who die of solitude and sadness, who belong to a village that first raised them and then “ended up” forgetting them.
