In France, at Blériot beach, near Calais, 213 beach cabins which is a part of the region's heritage will be simply be distroyed to the ground. A French law called the Loi Littoral (3 january 86) and a body called the Conservatoire du Littoral which is charged with preservation of the coastline requires their replacement by removable cabins, the presence of which may not exceed six months per year.
The beach cabins, called by unhabitants "Chalets" wich are located to the Blériot plage - Near Calais France and Sangatte can't be remove each year. Since more 50 years they are on the beach and it'a a part of the landscape.
Unfortunately time is running out for these beach cabins.
My work, here it's a sort of testimonial, several by year i went to this beach for a long walk between these suspended "houses".
