THE MIDWEST
'The Midwest' is a photo series documenting the countless and nameless suburbia of the American midwest. An approach to the average surroundings of cities like Chicago, Kansas City, St. Louis or Indianapolis, that can hardly be distinguished from another. And even though the midwest with its numerous states has so much more to offer than the often used term „fly over country“ demeaningly promises, it is hard to appreciate the regions beauty, when so much of it is covered in faceless suburbian industrial tristesse.
All pictures are taken with a Hasselblad XPan and with Kodak Film, in the soft and warm light of early morning and evening hours.
